How much does a booking app cost?
Published market ranges for a custom booking app, the running costs nobody can skip, and what renting a booking tool costs instead. Every number below links to its source. None of them is our price: our build price is a fixed quote from a Blueprint.
The short answer
One published vendor guide puts a basic booking app at $20,000 to $30,000, and Clutch says most app projects on its site cost $10,000 to $49,999. Ranges climb past $40,000 once you add more platforms, roles and integrations. Then add store fees and upkeep every year. For a business with 1 to 5 staff, renting a booking tool is cheaper over 3 years in every row of the table below.

The honest read
For 1 to 5 staff, renting wins. A 5-person salon on Booksy pays about $1,320 a year; the lowest figure in the ranges above is $10,000, before upkeep. Even the 15-user Jobber Plus row costs less over 3 years than a basic build with upkeep. Owning makes sense for other reasons: many more seats or locations than these rows, marketplace commissions on every new client, a way of working the software does not fit, or wanting the app and the customer data in your own name. If none of those apply, stay on the subscription. Our Blueprint cost sheet says so when it is true.
What a paid discovery costs
Paracon lists discovery packages at $2,500 (3 weeks), $4,000 (6 weeks) and $6,500 (10 weeks), with 25% to 50% credited if you go ahead within 30 days.

How much does it cost to build a booking app?
Published ranges vary widely: one vendor guide lists $20,000 to $30,000 for a basic booking app and $40,000 to $60,000 for a mid-tier one, and Clutch says most app projects reviewed on its site range from $10,000 to $49,999. The table on this page links each source.
What are the app store fees?
The Apple Developer Program is $99 a year. A Google Play developer account is a one-time $25.
How much does upkeep cost?
Development companies commonly quote 15 to 20% of the build cost a year for updates and maintenance. That is their claim, not a fixed rule; our care plan is quoted from your build.
Is the estimator a quote?
No. It shows the published market ranges that match the features you pick. Our build price is a fixed quote from your Blueprint.
Can I launch on Android first?
Yes. We build in Flutter, so one codebase covers iOS and Android, and the order of the store launches is your choice. Lawn By Moe went live on Google Play first while its iOS app was in App Store review.
Can the build be done in phases?
Yes. The Blueprint splits the features into v1 and later. v1 gets a fixed price; later phases are quoted when you are ready for them, so you pay for what you need first.
No-code app builder or a custom app?
A no-code builder or a booking subscription costs less to start and is the right call when its features fit how you work. A custom app makes sense when you need your own workflow, the customer data on your own backend, or an app in your name without a platform's limits. The Blueprint cost sheet compares the options for your business.
What does the Blueprint cost?
$3,500, a fixed price, delivered in 14 to 21 days. 50% of it is credited to the build if you sign within 30 days.
Start with a Booking App Blueprint
In 14 to 21 days you get a cost sheet, a v1 feature list, a clickable prototype and a fixed build quote. You keep all of it.
$1,750 comes off your build if you sign within 30 days.
